Ft.Lauderdale(March 18) – On a recent trip to  Atlanta, Rev. Dr. Christopher Metropulos, Founder and  Executive Director of Orthodox Christian Network (OCN), received the news that  the Carlos Foundation was making a major grant to the national media outreach of  the Standing Conference of Orthodox Bishops in the Americas  (SCOBA).

Fr. Christopher was attending a fund raising dinner  in Atlanta for the media ministry when Mrs. Eula Carlos, head  of the Carlos Foundation, announced that her foundation was making a $100,000  grant to Orthodox Christian Network.

This grant, the first from the Carlos Foundation to  OCN, was given in part to assist in the airing of the program in  Atlantaas well as further the cause and growth  of OCN. Rev. Metropulos was thrilled that the Carlos Foundation joined  the growing list of major donors to OCN. He stated “This gift from the Andrew  & Eula Carlos Foundation continues to keep the respected memory of Andrew  Carlos at the front of the hearts and minds of Orthodox Christians in the  Atlantaarea. His life-long commitment to supporting the  Orthodox Christian community is well served by this financial gift to OCN. As we  continue to use the powerful media tools of today to share the riches of  Orthodoxy with America, this initial gift from the Carlos Foundation will  be remembered as one of the most important moments in the life of our young  ministry.”
