Guest: Fr. Lawrence Farley

Fr. Lawrence Farley joins us once again to talk about his latest book release in the Orthodox Bible Study Companion Series, First and Second Corinthians ~ Straight from the heart.  This book is a practical guide to understanding the two epistles Paul wrote to the Corinthians that came straight from his heart as he appealed to them to live in peace, in righteousness, in generosity, and not to resist his God-given authority. Further, Fr. Lawrence explains the importance of these two epistles to Orthodox Christians especially in today’s worldly society.

Guest: Frederica Mathewes-Green

Disney’s release of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, based on C.S. Lewis’s classic story has been in Movie Theater’s for the last several weeks.  Have you seen it?  Should you take your children to see it? Join us as we spend some time with Frederica Mathewes-Green discussing the value of this movie and the power of Lewis’s literature in transmitting Christian truths across denominational lines.

Our bishops are nourishing the growth of a National Media Ministry, and have designated Sunday January 15, 2006 as the day when all of our churches will join in support of this good work. Be a part of creating a National Orthodox Outreach. Watch for the Share the Light Sunday tools your parish will receive in the mail. Be sure to talk to your priest about this exciting event.
