For The Week of March 2

On Come Receive the Light, the National Orthodox Christian Radio Program,
Fr. Chris talks with Sarah Elisabet Offerndal, Director of Martha and Mary
House, about the social trends and spiritual struggles involved in her
crisis pregnancy and counseling ministry. Also, His Grace Bishop BENJAMIN
of San Francisco discusses our Lord's call to reach out to those in need.

In addition to Come Receive the Light, The ARK and The RUDDER, our online
programs, feature a number of additional shows this month. Continuing with
programming from the recent International Conference of Orthodox
Psychotherapists, Fr. David Gill will speak on "The Very Damaged Person:
Essential Psychiatric Knowledge for a Priest Exercising Spiritual Care."
On Theologically Thinking, we will hear the words of Fr. Stanely Harakas
in his presentation "Prayer Before and After Holy Communion." Other
highlights include a new episode of "Get Wisdom", the weekly radio Bible
study for Orthodox teens and families.

Each day on The ARK and The RUDDER you can also hear a different show from
"The Best of Come Receive the Light," featuring favorite interviews from
past episodes. During February 3 - 7 we will be playing "An Effective

deepening our spiritual life through Holy Confession and prayer during
Great Lent.

Shows on The ARK and RUDDER include Part 2 of Fr. David Gill's
presentation "The Very Damaged Person: Essential Psychiatric Knowledge for
a Priest Exercising Spiritual Care," as well as new episodes of our
regular shows like "Just Thinking," which examines current events and
social trends from an Orthodox Christian point of view.

The "Best of Come Receive the Light" lineup for March 10-14 will feature
"The Difference between Fasting and Dieting" (3/10), "Man of Faith"
(3/11), "Sacred Space and Architecture" (3/12), "The Nicene Creed" (3/13),

Tune in to Come Receive the Light, when Fr. Chris will speak with Dr.
Albert Rossi, a professor at St. Vladimir's Seminary, about the role of
lay people in the life and ministry of the Orthodox Church.

The ARK and RUDDER will feature new programs. Special Moments in Orthodoxy
features another installment from the International Conference of Orthodox
Psychotherapists. This week, Dr. Frank Johnson will speak on "Counseling,
Psychotherapy and Spiritual Direction: A Comparison, Part 1." Check online
for the rest of our lineup, including Theologically Thinking, Get Wisdom,

The "Best of Come Receive the Light" for March 17-21 includes "Church and

This week's Come Receive the Light features Fr. Chris speaking with Fr.
Luke Veronis, a well known Orthodox Christian missionary and author, about
a topic very close to home: Casinos, Lotteries, Raffles and Gambling from
a Christian Perspective.

Programs on the ARK and RUDDER include Special Moments in Orthodoxy, with
Dr. Frank Johnson continuing with part 2 of his presentation "Counseling,
Psychotherapy and Spiritual Direction: A Comparison."

For the week of March 30

Tune in this week to hear Fr. Chris speak with Fr. John McGuckin, a
prolific Orthodox scholar and professor at Columbia University, about an
incredible documentary called "Sophia Secret Wisdom." Hear from Prof.
McGuckin about his travels all over the Orthodox world while filming the
movie, including his conversations with many previously unknown Orthodox
Christian hermits and monastics in the Holy Land, Egypt, Meteora, Mt.
Athos and Romania.

On Special Moments in Orthodoxy, Dr. Ary Christofidis will talk about
"Helping Orthodox Clients Understand THE Difference BETWEEN Counseling and
Confession, Part 1."
