| Integration of Faith | I am the Founder and Chief Clinical Officer of Nest Behavioral Health, a group psychotherapy practice for the treatment of PTSD and Developmental Trauma. We are Doctorate and Masters-level, fully licensed clinicians providing in-person and teleheatlh treatment in the NY tri-state area. Trauma is a pattern of emotional dysregulation lodged in our nervous system, one effect of which is disconnection from our highest self. That loss in turn leads to disconnection from others, and from God. So one lens through which to understand the healing of trauma is the clearing of obstacles to our relationship with God. At Nest, we work equally effectively with those for whom this spiritual journey is explicit and intentional, and those for whom it is implicit and perhaps not conscious. Likewise, we equally accommodate those who lean in to faith consistently as well as those who live more regularly on the edge of doubt. |
