Integration of Faith My Orthodox faith gives me a primary lens through which to see each client as a bearer of the image of God, one driven by values and universal human needs which are always seeking expression in every thought, feeling and behavior; every person is priceless and redeemable. My role is not to convince or impose my dogma on the client, but rather to believe that with attentive presence, care, compassion and nurturing, this beautiful image of God may be dusted off to radiate the innate compassion into the world, and to their own vulnerable parts, no longer bound by the fears that distort our true nature and create all sorts of suffering. Clients with faith are encouraged to integrate their experience of God and church into their healing process, deepening intimacy with God.
