OCF College Conference Sells out and Reaches Record Numbers
OCF College Conference Sells out and Reaches Record Numbers
Boston, MA - Dec 18, 2006 Orthodox Christian Fellowship (OCF) is
excitedly preparing for a sold out conference at the Antiochian Village
in Bolivar, PA and record numbers at St. Nicholas Ranch in Dunlap, CA.
The conferences are held December 27-31 of each year and provide
participants a refreshing experience of worship, education in the faith
and fellowship. For the first time in its over ten year history,
registration for the conference at the Antiochian Village was sold out
three weeks in advance, and the conference at St. Nicholas Ranch is on
track to host its largest gathering.
Each year local OCF chapters develop the programs and lead the
conferences which feature keynote addresses, workshops and numerous
social activities. On the west coast, the OCF at Arizona State
University has fervently been preparing for the conference at St.
Nicholas Ranch that will feature keynote addresses by His Eminence
Metropolitan GERASIMOS of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese and a much
anticipated "open mic night." On the east coast, the OCF at Gordon
College has been busily assembling a fantastic schedule of speakers and
events for the conference at the Antiochian Village that will include
keynote addresses by Dr. Albert Rossi and an afternoon of snow tubing.
Veronica I. Stavila, OCF Program Coordinator, shared, "I am ecstatic
with the response we received this year. OCF’s main goal is to bring
college students closer to Christ and the Church. College Conference,
organized by students for students, is one of the ways we can bring this
to them. We pray that these days provide a life-changing experience for
all and that we will continue this experience in other conferences to
come."

Since 1995 the College Conferences have hosted over 2700 young adults,
giving each of them a transformative experience that often lasts a life
time. The record numbers reinforce the mission of OCF— to provide young
adults the opportunity to stay connected to their faith during college.
OCF will continue to expand and develop its programs to meet the needs
of the ministry.
OCF humbly asks each Orthodox Christian to continue to offer prayers and support for this crucial and growing college ministry.
