OCN Announces New Podcast Series on the Divine Liturgy for Laypeople
Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. (Dec. 18, 2008) -The Orthodox Christian Network (OCN) is pleased to announce its newest podcast, "Worship in Spirit & Truth," hosted by Demetrios Katos and now available at www.myocn.net.
Worship in Spirit & Truth helps busy laypeople better understand - and celebrate! - the Divine Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom.
Although Dr. Katos is a professor of Orthodox theology, he chose to make Worship in Spirit & Truth for a lay audience, especially for those who "have very limited time but would like to get more out of what they are already doing" at Liturgy on Sunday.
"I'm a theologian, but this series is written by and for someone in the pews - specifically, someone in the pews with young children or a lot of responsibilities," Katos said.
Fr. Christopher Metropulos, the Executive Director of OCN, believes this new series will be a powerful addition to OCN's current line-up of 12 regular shows, all of which are available for free download on OCN's Web site and streamed in real time on its network of online Orthodox radio stations.
"We are pleased to welcome an oustanding professor from Hellenic College to our lineup of contributors," Fr. Metropulos said. "Dr. Katos joins a distinguished group of theologians who work with OCN to offer the eternal truths of the Orthodox Faith to the modern world."
