Description

The Committee for Agencies & Affiliated Ministries is the Assembly’s oversight body with respect to its official relationships. It is responsible for reviewing applications of prospective organizations as well as oversight of existing partnerships.

Terms of Reference

  • Regular oversight of the agencies and affiliated ministries, including:
    • Maintenance of files of required legal documents (e.g. articles of incorporation, bylaws, 501(c)(3) determination letter, etc.)
    • Maintenance of files of required financial reports (e.g. annual reports, audit reports, etc.)
  • Through Episcopal Liaisons, receive and review status reports from the agencies and affiliated ministries; summarize such reports for the Executive Committee and the Assembly
  • Through Episcopal Liaisons, receive Agency requests for the blessing of board members and submit them to Executive Committee for approval
  • Through Episcopal Liaisons, serve as point of contact between the Assembly and its agencies and ministries affiliated with the Assembly
  • Review existing criteria for obtaining and retaining a particular status and propose any necessary changes for consideration to the Assembly
  • Conduct an annual review of each agencies and affiliated ministries for compliance with the criteria to retain such status
  • Provide an report to annual Assembly meeting on the work of the agencies and affiliated ministries
  • Provide coherence among the various agencies and ministries affiliated with the Assembly to insure a common vision and avoid duplication of efforts
